Lots going on, Lots of new gear in too.

First we have had yet another top up from our friends over at Truth Custom Drums, 3 snares and 2 more kits for now.

Kit 1 is a beauty of a kit, 20x20 kick drum, 10x7 rack tom and a 14x12 hanging floor tom in a canary yellow satin stain with a nice subtle yellow sparkle inlay on the insides of each bass drum hoop. A second stunner to land this week was from Tama in the Starclassic performer birch/bubinga series. In a 1 up 2 down configuration it not only sounds great but looks awesome, it is in the brand new finish launched at the start of the year called crystal blue burst, seriously check out this finish. Great size configuration I think. - This kit is now sold to Daryl Pryor for a great band called When Memories Fade.

Finally on this shipment we received a customer order snare drum which is a 14 x 7 walnut shell with chrome hardware, This will be heading on over to Italy to Gianluca Neroni, who will be so stokedI’m sure to get this and get it out gigging.

May bank holiday Sunday I spent at the Leeds university at the Slam Dunk festival 2009, If you were there then I am sure you must have enjoyed it as much as I did. The weather was amazing and the line-up was awesome. We took a couple of Truth Drum kits and a couple of snares as house kits situated on the Vans stage and the Drop Dead stage. As expected these both sounded incredible!! As well as the 2 kits you may have seen Dan Flint from the main headliners, You me At Six playing his gorgeous custom Truth hybrid kit, this sounded and look great as I am sure you will agree. We have a few bands from the line up interested in joining the Truth family so watch this space for new endorsees.

We got the guys at Mapex to scrape through their warehouse for any Saturn series kits they may have left at pre price rise costs to bag you a bargain. We have the last 3 LA Rock shell packs, One in Electric Berry Burst, One in Black Forest Cherry Sparkle and one in Transparent Black. All 3 consist of 22 x 20 undrilled bass drums, 12 x 9 rack tom, 16 x 16 floor tom and matching 14 x 7 snare drums with the tom arm and clamp included. News: March 2009

This week we received yet another big delivery from Truth Custom Drums, This time it is snare drums galore, We pretty much bought the whole stand on display at this year’s NAMM show in California.

First is an absolute breath taker, a 14 x 8 50-ply maple hybrid split shell with a 12” hybrid shell fit snug inside. Sounds hard to get your head around? Well check out the pics and it will all make sense. This really is one of the nicest snare drums we have ever heard... EVER!!! And the looks just will just blow you away even further with its Red, White and Blue captain America themed appearance. This features die cast hoops and a Trick throw off.

Next we have a beautiful 14 x 8 maple in lavender glass glitter with 2 ghost stripes, this snare looks very classy and will be snapped up in the blink of an eye I’m sure. This features die cast hoops, full stretch tube lugs and a Trick throw off.

Another stunner is a 14 x 7 all maple hand painted octopus design. The art work is done by an awesome artist from Portland, Oregon by the name of Brett G. Superstar. This is a one off snare drum that you will never see duplicated, a great unique snare for the collection. Be sure to check out all of the pictures we have done to see the whole piece of art. This features die cast hoops, full stretch tube lugs and a trick throw off.

Next is a 14 x 6.5 brass black beauty style shell powder coated in safety orange sparkle. The sparkle is very subtle and finishes the drum off perfectly. This will be a great drum to add to any kit and perfect for all of you Aaron Gillespie lovers out there. This features triple flange hoops, full stretch lugs and a trick throw off.

Next we have a 13 x 6 maple shell wrapped in a vintage black ripple wrap, finished off with custom shaved Yamaha style wood hoops with a white ripple inlay. This drum looks and sounds great and is sure to turn head where ever it goes, the hoops are stunning. This features full stretch tube lugs and a trick throw off.

Next is a first from Truth Drums, a 14 x 8 brass shell powder coated in multi colour glitter. This looks as crazy as it sounds, The flip paint style sparkle works perfectly, constantly changing colour in a live situation with the stage lights on you. The hardware on this drum is also multi colour sparkle to add to the cool unique look. This features 50% offset mini tube lugs and a trick throw off.

Next is a 14 x 6.5 maple/acrylic/maple hybrid shell snare with satin blue tips and a snow flake acrylic centre. This drum looks stunningwith the unique looking snow flake acrylic finished off with real classy looking beaver tail lugs. This snare sounds great and is extremely well focused thanks to the die cast hoops which makes it perfect for both live and recording situations. This features die cast hoops, 7/8 offset classic beaver tail lugs and a trick throw off.

Next is a similar design to one of our original snare drums we had, due to the amount of enquiries we get we had to get another. This is a 14 x 7 maple in true black glass glitter with a neon green and slate glass glitter dual stripe design. This snare is gorgeous and I know why the finish combination works so well. It features Black chrome hardware, die cast hoops, 50% offset mini tube lugs and a trick throw off. Be quick, this snare didn’t sit for very long at all last time!

Next is a really classy snare. A 14 x 7 maple/walnut/maple ply-brid shell, the maple tips are wrapped in vintage aged white pearl. The centre is 100% walnut and left natural to add to its custom unique look.This snare features dies cast hoops, classic inline beaver tail lugs and a trick throw off.

Next is a beauty, A 14 x 7 walnut shell with added maple re-inforcementrings. This snare has a 45 degree outer bearing edge and a 30 degree inner for an amazing dry vintage studio sound. This is wrapped in a shattered mirror glass finish, which is actually what was left over to use after Brandon Saller from Metal band Atreyu had his 3 bass drum mega kit made. It features triple flanged hoops, full stretch tube lugs and a trick throw off.

And last but not least we have a little beauty, a 12 x 6.5 maple effects snare in silver glass glitter wrap with silver/gold glass glitter stripes. This snare has the ultimate pop sound and is ideal as a side snare. It features hand rubbed weathered hardware, triple flanged hoops and 7/8 offset tube lugs.

On this shipment we also received Rob Thornton’s custom kit which was a 20 x 20 kick drum, 12 x 7 rack tom and 14 x 12 floor tom in flat white wrap with flat black stripes and black powder coated hardware. First to hit are 2 kits from Mapex, The Meridian Birch (now taken over the discontinued M-Birch series) This kit is a 6 piece kit consisting of a 22x18 bass drum (un-drilled), 10 x 7 and 12 x 8 rack toms, 14 x 12 and 16 x 14 floor toms and a 14 x 5.5 matching snare drum in a new Burgundy Sparkle Delmar Wrap, included is the all new 700 series hardware with the cymbal stands featuring a new quick release ?Accu-Lock? system.

Next is the Meridian Maple (taken over the Pro-M range). This stunning looking kit is in a Galaxy Burst lacquer as a 22? fusion set up. Again this kit features the new 700 series hardware. Please check the pictures and available configurations and finishes in the Meridian Maple section.

3 new snare drums from Black Panther were launched at the show and now all 3 are in stock and ready to go. They are: A limited edition 14 x 5.5 thin maple shell with walnut reinforcement rings in a beautiful exotic elm burl finish, A 14 x 5.5 ultra thick maple shell in a really cool looking silver sparkle and finally we have Black Panthers very first signature snare drum for Lamb of God?s Chris Adler, This beauty is a 12 x 5.5 and featured a unique design by Lamb of God?s very own artist K3n. This comes with Chris? personal choice of Aquarian Hi Energy batter head. All 3 snares come in a deluxe Black Panther case.

We took delivery of a UK exclusive set up from Yamaha. From the Oak Custom range the Oak X, I think will be a winner. This kit was put together by the Yamaha UK team obviously being inspired by the popular demand of the sizes. The kit is a 4 piece shell pack with a 22 x 20 undrilled bass drum, a 12 x 7 rack tom, a 16 x 15 floor tom and a 14 x 7 loud series snare drum, in a cool looking white sparkle with brushed chrome hardware.

Finally we received a huge delivery from the Truth drums guys over in Portland, Oregon. This we gather by all of the emails and calls we keep getting is the one delivery people have been waiting for. We finally have the kit in stock which blew allot of people away at the NAMM show, a first of its kind, a 3 headed woofer kit! This really has to been seen and heard to believe how well the design works. In a classy white ripple wrap and turquoise ripple wrap finish with a 20 x 10 bass drum shell and a 22 x 8 woofer shell attached to the front, a 10 x 5 rack tom with a 12 x 4 woofer shell attached to the bottom and a 14 x 8 floor tom with a 16 x 6 woofer shell attached to the bottom. The kit provides so much attack and projection you really do have to hear it to believe it, with the woofer shells providing an awesome low end.

This time we received some beautiful kits and snares, the first kit is a stunning looking 3 piece in Blood Red satin stain, the is a 22 x 18 kick, 12 x 7 rack tom and a 16 x 14 floor tom with chrome hardware and 50% offset lugs, also check out the positions of the port holes on each drum. Kit 2 is another cool looking kit, it's a 22 x 19 kick, 12 x 7 rack tom, and a 15 x 13 floor tom, in a white wash satin stain with satin look chrome hardware, also featuring the Ayotte style bass drum spurs.

Rob Thornton from the bad All Systems Go got his awesome little 3 piece set up featuring a 20 x 20 kick, 12 x 8 rack tom and a 14 x 12 floor in a flat white with flat black stripes and flat black powder coated hardware.

A few snare drums were also on the delivery, Ant Thornton?s 14 x 8 Walnut snare with Yamaha style wood hoops, great looking and sounding drum, A 14 x 7 walnut snare, a 14 x 8 maple in candy green stain and an awesome 14 x 8 brass shell in black chrome with satin look chrome hardware.
