Pearl Day 2007

We headed down to Derby this month to the Pearl Drum Day 2007 to witness some fantastic drumming and check out some of Pearl’s newest products to hit the UK.

The Pearl Drum Village had a whole host of spectacular drum kit set ups, new finishes, the all new Pearl Vision kit as well as a superb centre piece showing a £13000 drum kit set up from the Pearl Masterworks Drum Set Range (below). We have a Masterworks Special Edition kit on it's way in a 4 Piece Shell Pack in the 'Piano Black with Silver Inlay and Chrome HW' colors as like the image below. This is now available to place a deposit on and will arrive in September ready to ship. The New Limited Edition Pearl Forum in the smaller sizes was a nice touch (below), the Kit comes with an 18” Bass Drum which makes it more of a Jazz / Gigging Set up. It comes in Black only with Chrome Hardware and is in limited supply, we have secured a few of these limited edition kits so if you fancy one let us know!

Another Limited edition available is The Pearl EX in white with the Black Hardware (below). It comes as a five piece kit and has a real nice retro look to it. Quite a looker when on stage and again we have secured a few of these set ups as well.

Finally we have also ordered one Pearl Masters Premium Limited Edition Canary Yellow Sparkle 3 Piece Shell Set (below image is of a display set up as an example only). This is Beautiful and a Real Eyecatching Kit, with the Black Hardware.

The Drumming Ability on Stage was absolutely fantastic. With such a high profile line up in one evening, it promised to be an event worth watching. On stage first was Gary Husband with an awe inspiring set, followed by the superb Percussionist Ritchie Flores and Heracio Hernandez giving us a fantastic show. Ricky Lawson followed with another fabulous set and finally Omar Hakim headlined the event by giving us as expected a superb finale.

All in all a fabulous event from Pearl Drums showing us just what fabulous Drums and Percussion they offer as well as showcasing some real talent from some of the Top World Class Drumming names that we can all be inspired by.
